The new RSLM stainless steel line provides measurement accuracy comparable to high-precision glass scales, and it is offered in the range of up to 5 m. The linear encoder system with the RSLM line provides a total error (including slopes and linearity) of less than ± 4 μm at 5 m - the best result in the industry! In a system with optical signal filtering that is easy to install and has a periodic error of ± 30 nm and a resolution of up to 1 nm, the RSLM line retains all the advantages of the encoder in 20 μm increments, while ensuring the accuracy of a system with a significantly smaller pitch.

Ruler RSLM in stainless steel in 20 μm steps


The RSLM ruler in stainless steel with a pitch of 20 microns is excellent for those cases when it comes to moving within a significant length while maintaining high accuracy.

This robust ruler is offered with standard lengths up to 5 m.

The total error is less than ± 4 μm at 5 m.
- Coefficient of thermal expansion: 10.8 μm/m/ 0 С.
- Ribbon RSLM can be folded into a ring for convenient handling and storage, while in the straightened state it behaves the same as the scale ruler.
- Fixing with a special adhesive base or mechanical clamps.
- Optical zero mark IN-TRAC with automatic synchronization provides two-way repeatability of arrival to zero point at speeds of movement up to 12.5 m/s.
- Various zero-mark positions for IN-TRAC: in the middle of the scale (RSLM), at the end of the scale (RSLE), with distance codes for indexing short displacements (RSLD) or with equal intervals for customer selection (RSLC).
- Pair limit switches installed directly on the line provide an automatic feed of the signal that initiates the stop of the moved assembly.
